Challenge
The portrait begins with Luna's nightly habit of scratching at the bedroom door and uses her small rituals and contradictions to reveal her character. Her presence also becomes a way of writing about absence, memory and grief.
Solution
A long-form portrait built from specific scenes, behaviours and recurring details. The text moves between humour and loss, allowing Luna's personality to emerge naturally while the emotional meaning of her presence develops underneath.
